The all-new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer MPV will be the first vehicle from the manufacturer to come complete with the brand's new generation 1.6 CDTi Start/Stop diesel engine.
With the help of the motor being fitted with BlueInjection selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, the Zafira Tourer is already able to conform to the stringent Euro 6 emissions regulations.
On top of this, the engine arrangement enables Vauxhall's new MPV to achieve maximum output of 136PS and up to 320Nm of torque.
From a driving point of view, the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer MPV is able to climb to 62mph from a standstill in a mere 10.4 seconds, offer extraordinary fuel efficiency of 68.9mpg and limit CO2 emissions to a frugal 109g/km.
Duncan Aldred, the chairman and managing director of Vauxhall, commented: "Vauxhall continues to develop its award-winning model range with new and exciting technology.
"This new powertrain is Vauxhall's cleanest diesel engine in its illustrious 110 year history."
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer MPV, complete with its new-generation CDTi diesel engine, will make its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.
