Vertu Motors scoops bodyshop award

Some 436 motor industry delegates ABP Club's fourth Annual Convention and Night of Knights Awards ceremony.

Vertu Motors took top spot in the 2010 Franchised dealer bodyshop category of the awards.

Vertu Motors operates a network of ten bodyshops across the UK, utilising all the latest equipment and factory-trained technicians.

Each Vertu bodyshop holds the Thatcham BSI standard (PAS125) and at least one manufacturer approval.

Welcoming the award, Vertu Motors bodyshop development manager Mike Collyer said: "We are delighted to receive this award because of our PAS125 Kitemark approvals, manufacturer approvals and the investment in our new bodyshop in Newburn, Newcastle-upon-Tyne."

PAS125, which is maintained by the UK's national standards body BSI, is the industry agreed technical specification for body repair, covering the four key elements of equipment and materials, methods, people and process management.

Vertu Motors' bodyshops work to the rigorous standards expected to meet PAS125. Independent audits are carried out twice a year to ensure that all repairs are carried out properly and safely.
