Volvo certainly has been busy so far in 2014 and the company has now revealed the latest concept car in its trio of new designs.
The Volvo Concept XC Coupe follows on from the Volvo Concept Coupe and is aimed at providing a thrilling driving experience to people that love extreme sports and taking on new challenges.
Not only is the model built to deliver quality performance, safety is also a priority as the car features the manufacturer's new Scalable Product Architecture, using high-strength boron steel and high structural integrity to make the model more robust.
Thomas Ingenlath, senior vice president of design for Volvo Car Group, said: “The Volvo Concept XC Coup is perfectly in tune with this active lifestyle. Its capability and protection is cleverly integrated into the sophisticated looks. Concept XC Coup is ready and willing to bring you into the adventure zone and back."
The XC edition of the concept coupe comes with two-doors and four seats and has larger wheels when compared to its sibling - measuring at 21 inches. Furthermore, the car has accentuated wheel-arches and a taller roofline, making it look stronger and more resilient.
It is set to make its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit later this month and will stand alongside a number of other competitors in the performance coupe segment.
