Mitsubishi has revealed that its new ASX will come with a range of updated safety features.

The highlight upgrade for the compact SUV will be a new reversing camera, the Motor Report claimed.

Other features set to be included in the range are of style upgrades such as new seat trims, new interior finishes and a new central table in the rear.

The centre armrest will be fitted with cup holders in order to increase the comfort the vehicle offers.

Drivers tempted by the Convenience Pack, which will be offered with the ASX, will also benefit from parking sensors, Bluetooth mobile phone connections and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

By opting to take the ASX up a notch, owners can purchase the luxury pack, which also offers 17-inch alloys, front fog lamps and chrome exterior highlights.

The ASX is also now more affordable, as the extras are normally exclusive to the top of the range ASX Aspire.
