All-New Dacia Duster Shortlisted for 2025 Car of the Year Award

The newly updated B-SUV joins six other models on the shortlist for the award, which is a first for the Dacia brand.

Good news for the All-New Dacia Duster, after the model has been shortlisted for the 2025 Car of the Year Award.

Car of the Year criteria

For the latest award, Car of The Year Award judges singled out two key characteristics that the winner will demonstrate.

Car of The Year said that “technological innovation and value for money are particularly important factors”.

These are both factors that the All-New Dacia Duster displays confidently in its latest efficient design.

New electrified powertrains

Built on the CMF-B platform, the All-New Dacia Duster proudly shows technological innovation. The latest model offers a selection of electrified powertrains for improved efficiency.

One of these is the HYBRID 140 powertrain, which enables it to drive in electric mode for up to 80% of the time. Ideal for driving in cities with Low Emission Zones (LEZs) in force, while reducing fuel consumption by up to 40%.

Other innovative features include recycled materials to reduce its carbon footprint. Starkle is a new, patented recyclable plastic made from 20% recycled materials, used on the All-New Duster’s exterior.

Innovation can also be seen in the new YouClip system included in the All-New Duster. This enables a more personalised interior with a range of clever accessories to aid storage. From a smartphone holder to a 3-in-1 cupholder.

Excellent affordability

Affordability is another box the All-New Duster ticks with ease, with a starting price of £18,745. One of several reasons why it has been such a popular model since its launch in 2010 – gaining more than 2.5 million customers globally.

It’s a value that Dacia has proven dedicated to across the range, including electric vehicles with the All-New Dacia Spring. Currently known as Europe’s most affordable new EV.

The All-New Dacia Duster shows that performance, style, and efficiency don’t have to cost a fortune. With the HYBRID 140 powertrain, drivers can also enjoy continued savings with reduced fuel costs.
