All-New Nissan X-Trail Named Best SUV By Women's World Car of The Year 2023

The new electric family crossover is centred around practicality and convenience, incorporating Nissan’s innovative e-POWER technology.

The all-new Nissan X-Trail has been named Best SUV in the Women’s World Car of The Year (WWCOTY) 2023 Awards.

The WWCOTY Award is the only international award comprising exclusively female automotive journalists.

Judges praised the new X-Trail for its spaciousness, performance and of course, Nissan’s world-leading e-POWER technology.

Makoto Uchida, Nissan’s CEO, said:

“We are delighted that the jury of the Women’s World Car of the Year has awarded the honour of best Large SUV to the Nissan X-Trail.

“The X-Trail is our family SUV icon, with a heritage of over 20 years. It has remained true to its original recipe: robust SUV looks, advanced and efficient all-wheel drive powertrains and flexible practicality, which come together to enable family adventures.

“We took the voices of our female customers into consideration throughout the design and development process, so we’re particularly proud that the jury of eminent female automotive journalists from all over the world has recognized the X-Trail’s talents.”

An SUV for the future

The all-new electric family crossover is built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, and the result is a muscular, capable SUV offering the latest in both design and technology.

Bringing together two of the most advanced technologies available, the Nissan X-Trail offers a responsive, efficient, and relaxed drive thanks to the e-FORCE all-wheel drive (AWD).

This consists of a petrol engine which charges the battery meaning there’s no need to plug in, making the X-Trail a forward-thinking SUV perfect for those with a busy schedule.

The new X-Trail differs from a traditional hybrid engine, using the 150kW electric motor to deliver a smoother, quieter, and more efficient drive while recharging on the go, utilising regenerative braking to recycle energy.

This comes with automatic transmission providing easier handling and increased control for a more enjoyable driving experience.

Built for the family

As a family crossover, the new Nissan X-Trail is as flexible as you need it to be with a range of configuration options available.

These include either five or seven seats, built around a comfortable, practical interior to make journeys memorable for the whole family.

Starting with the cabin, you’ll find up to 35 inches of infotainment, comprising a 12.3” digital driver’s display, a 12.3” NissanConnect display, and a 10.8” Head-up Display, placing full connectivity into your hands.

The NissanConnect screen can be personalised according to your viewing preferences, where you can connect your favourite music and apps, while keeping maps and live traffic info handy.

Behind this is up to seven ergonomic, comfortable seats just waiting for the family to enjoy. Complete with four ISOFIX points, you can easily fit child seats in where needed, with plenty of space for a third child in the middle.

With a 30:20:30 sliding seat design, you can always make sure there is plenty of room for rear passengers or maximise your cargo space depending on the journey.

In the seven-seater for instance, you could enjoy as much as 1,298 litres of boot space with the second and third rows folded. That’s plenty of space to transport larger items such as equipment or luggage with ease.

When it comes to design, the new X-Trail only promises to impress further. The BOSE premium sound system provides a crisp, refined audio experience, while the floating centre console offers a convenient storage area for a clutter-free interior, with stylish LED illumination.

The X-Trail also offers three-zone air conditioning allowing front and rear passengers to personalise the temperature according to their preferences. For a comfier journey all-round! The rear sunshade also ensures rear passengers are seated comfortably, protecting them from heat and light with integrated rear door sunshades – perfect for a little snooze during the journey too.

With a range of accessories available, you can make the Nissan X-Trail your own. Optional mud guards will make the perfect choice for more adventurous journeys into the wild, while luxury mats add a premium touch and protect your vehicle’s interior.

Sophisticated, modern design

Not neglecting design, the new Nissan X-Trail offers an array of features designed to deliver a great look and enhance your presence on the road.

Highlights include LED headlights for crystal-clear vision and style, boomerang design tail lights for a distinctive, eye-catching look, and the unmistakeable V-motion grille creating a cutting-edge profile.

You’ll also receive beautiful 20” alloy wheels for both style and performance, and a panoramic sunroof so you can let the light in.

On the rear, the unique e-FORCE badge evokes a proud sense of innovation and modernity, showing the X-Trail really is different from the rest.
