BYD Atto 2 To Join European Line-Up
BYD has announced another new addition to its European line-up with confirmation that the Atto 2 will be launched next month.
The Atto 2 is the smaller brother of the Atto 3 and sits above the Dolphin in the existing BYD range, blending what the manufacturer describes as ‘compact dimensions and agile manoeuvrability’.
Despite coming in 145mm shorter and 45mm slimmer than the Atto 3, the car will have plenty of space for five passengers and offers 400 litres of boot space.
That increases to an impressive 1,340 litres when the rear seat is lowered.
At launch, the Atto 2 – which is the first BYD model to have a battery fitted using cell-to-body construction – will be offered with a 41.5kWh battery delivering a range of 312km, with a larger battery version to follow in due course.
“We’re excited to start 2025 with another important model for our plans in Europe," BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li said. "The B-segment SUV class is incredibly popular here, and with the Atto 2, we have an agile and versatile offering that will appeal to that large potential customer base.
"It takes all of BYD’s strengths in batteries, electric motors and Cell-to-Body construction and combines them in a compact package that brings new intelligent technologies to the urban SUV class.”
