BYD Reveals Further Details Of All-New SEALION 7

BYD has confirmed further details of the all-new SEALION 7, which is set to launch in the UK in the first quarter of 2025.

The model will be the fourth in the Ocean Series alongside the DOLPHIN, SEAL and SEAL U, and will start from £44,990 on-the-road.

The sporty SUV will feature rapid-charging up to 230kW and will be available with two different battery options in three configurations.

Comfort and Design trims will feature an 82.5 kWh battery that provides up to 300 miles WLTP range on RWD models, and 283 miles on those cars fitted with all-wheel drive.

Top-spec Excellence AWD models come with a 91.3 kWh battery and a range of up to 312 mile WTLP. A heat pump will come as standard across all cars to maximise range, particularly in colder weather conditions.

Comfort model includes heated seats, dual-zone climate control, a 15.6-inch rotatable screen, a wireless charging pad, and are capable of powering household devices.

Design models add 20-inch alloy wheels, and Excellence models feature Nappa leather seats and a Head-Up Display. Driver assistance features across the range include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning,  front and rear cross traffic alert and cross traffic braking.

A six-year manufacturer’s warranty, and eight years cover for the battery and electric motor, are offered as standard.
