Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso MPV get a makeover
The Citroen C4 Picasso and its big brother, the Grand C4 Picasso, are back with a fresh new look and a ton of extra kit.
Updated for 2016, the 5 and 7 seaters have both had a facelift, gaining newly designed fronts, new powertrain options, and extra gadgets. On both MPVs, the front bumper gains all new C-shaped fog lights, wrapped around a wide grille, and at the rear, 3D effect LED tail lights are standard.
The Picasso line up will benefit from rejuvenated interiors, which will include exciting (and bold!) additions such as blue upholstery, a perfume dispenser, LED reading lights, and a rear sunblind. In terms of gadgets, the MPVs will feature the most current satellite navigation software and Citroen’s latest ‘infotainment’ system.
In terms of safety equipment, the two cars will gain a wide range of gear to keep their occupants safe. Blind spot monitoring, cruise control, speed limit recognition and a system that warns drivers when they are tired all come as standard.
Under the bonnet, expect both cars to have a 6-speed automatic gearbox, which runs alongside a 128bhp PureTech petrol model. The engine manages 55.4 miles to the gallon, which is impressive for the size of the Grand C4 Picasso. The cars will be launched in the UK in September this year.
