Citron supports Tinkoff-Saxo cycling team in the Tour de France 2015
Citron is supporting the Tinkoff-Saxo cycling team during the 102nd Tour de France, providing vehicles to support the team's cyclists during their races.
Tour de France 2015 kicked off this season and will run until 26 July and will see Citron run alongside the cyclists of the Tinkoff-Saxo team.
A leading force in professional cycling, the Tinkoff-Saxo team is made up of talented cyclists of diverse nationalities including Alberto Contador from Spain, Peter Sagan from Slovakia, Rafal Majka from Poland and Ivan Basso from Italy. Citron is also developing specific partnerships with these world-renowned cyclists in their respective countries.
Citron's partnership with the Tinkoff-Saxo team is founded on the shared values of optimism, boldness and high standards. That spirit is expressed through the provision of 24 vehicles, mainly Citron C5 Tourer models, to support the cyclists during their races.
Steven de Jongh, sports director for Tinkoff-Saxo, said: "Along with the bikes, cars for us are essential to the racing success of our cyclists. The Citron C5 Tourer fully corresponds to our needs with its unrivalled ride comfort and road holding.
"It is a major asset, one that we have already had the chance to appreciate on winding roads and the tough cobblestones of the Paris-Roubaix! I can't wait to set up my 'office' in one for the Tour de France, the most important race of the year for our team!"
