CUPRA In The Running For Car Of The Year
CUPRA is in the running to secure the 2025 European Car of the Year award after the new Terramar was named amongst the seven finalists.
The SUV successfully emerged from the first round of voting after testing at the Tannistest in Denmark to join the Formentor (2021) and the Born (2022) in being nominated for the prestigious award.
The Formentor would take place in the voting to mark CUPRA’s best result to date, being beaten by the Toyota Yaris and the Fiat 500.
The CUPRA Terramar was unveiled at the beginning of September, under the backdrop of the America's Cup and is available with a raft of different powertrain options that incorporate petrol, mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
“The selection of the CUPRA Terramar as finalist for the Car of the Year 2025 acknowledges that the CUPRA brand is growing, getting more mature and is more certain in its identity than ever before, without ever compromising on authenticity,” Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA, said.
“The CUPRA Terramar pays homage to the emblematic race circuit where CUPRA was born and redefines what SUVs can deliver in terms of emotion, performance, and design.”
