Fiat battles the cold with new Panda 4x4 Antarctica
While the UK hasn't yet experienced the cold as much as other areas of the world has this winter, that's not to say we are not due for a touch of frost.
In preparation for a later than expected chill, Fiat has gone ahead with the release of its new special edition Fiat Panda 4x4 Antarctica.
The car is intended to stand out from the crowd, presented in a body colour of white, with a black roof and orange detailing on the wing-mirrors and elsewhere.
This colour signature has also been featured on the inside, with grey and orange upholstery, dark-tinted rear privacy glass and a grey dash.
In-keeping with other Panda models sold in the UK, the latest version will also come with air conditioning, electronic stability control, specially tuned suspension and mud-and-snow tyres.
Under the bonnet is Fiat's award-winning 85hp 0.9 TwinAir petrol engine, or if drivers would like an alternative, a 75hp 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel engine is also available.
The standard Fiat Panda has already proved successful, claiming the 2014 Mini 4x4 award from 4x4 Magazine, and taking Top Gear magazine's SUV of the Year 2012 title, and the Antarctica version is sure to build on this.
Marketing director for Fiat Group Automobiles UK Elena Bernardelli, said: "The new Panda 4X4 Antarctica - with its extra equipment, unique styling features and strictly limited numbers - should prove even more appealing so potential buyers will need to be quick to snap one up this winter!”
