Hyundai Announces Prices and Specifications of New i30

Hyundai has revealed the prices and specifications of the new i30.

Starting at £20,695, the new i30 has been updated and boasts striking exterior and interior updates, as well as an electrified engine line-up, to enhance performance and efficiency.

Ashley Andrew, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK, commented: “The i30 was the first of Hyundai’s “I” cars to be introduced and is now on its 4th generation. Since its introduction in 2007, i30 has attracted a diverse customer base from those looking for a practical, well equipped and affordable family car through to enthusiast drivers searching for a dose of excitement in the latest hot hatch, as well as featuring on a number of the UK’s Police fleets. With the new i30 refreshing the model now and a new i30N soon, its popularity looks set to remain.”

Read on to discover some of the new elements incorporated into the fourth generation i30 hatchback.

Exterior Updates

The new i30 sports a sleek silhouette, with slimmer headlights dominating the front, which are accompanied with new, V-shaped LED daytime running lights for a piercing finish.

To the rear, the bumper has been redesigned to optimise performance and dynamism, with the 16-inch or 17- inch diamond cut alloy wheels finishing off the sporty style.

Engine and Performance

Available with new electrified engines, drivers will have the choice to pick between the 120 PS 1.0 turbo-charged GDi 48 Volt Hybrid engine or the 136PS 1.6 CRDi 48 Volt Hybrid engine, with both options optimising efficiency without compromising on performance.

As standard, the new Hyundai i30 features a 6 speed Intelligent Manual Transmission, but this can be upgraded to the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission.

Safety

Hyundai has made sure the new i30 is fully-equipped with new and improved safety features.

The Hyundai SmartSense advanced safety package includes an array of safety and driver aid systems to make every day driving easier and safer.
