Hyundai to unveil i40 in Barcelona
Hyundai is poised to debut a brand new model at the Barcelona Motor Show this week (May 12th).
The manufacturer recently unveiled the first images of the Hyundai i40 to consumers, showcasing its fluid design concept and sleek lines.
It was first announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March and is being rolled out under the company's new slogan, 'New Thinking, New Possibilities'.
The i40 has been designed and engineered at the European R&D Hyundai headquarters in Russelsheim, Germany and follows on from the ix35 and ix20 models.
Hyundai chief designer Thomas Burkle commented: "We wanted to move away from the typical three-box saloon and create a car that was in keeping with the sporty nature of the i40 estate."
Mr Burkle went on to observe the i40's "striking coupe-like silhouette".
He also noted its comfort and practicality.
The company was recently named fourth best car maker in this year's Driver Power survey.
