Land Rover shows off Discovery Vision
Land Rover has revealed its latest concept model before it goes on display at this year's New York Auto Show.
The Discovery Vision concept is a showcase of the finest innovation from Jaguar Land Rover research and an example of how cars could look in the future.
It is packed with impressive features, such as augmented reality smart glass, intelligent headlamps to judge the environment and respond to other vehicles, and gesture control to use the doors, indicators and other settings by just waving your hand.
Furthermore, the interior is extremely versatile, with drivers able to select the seating arrangement. This allows for a seven-, six-, five- or four-seat carriage by simply folding the rear seats.
To mark the official launch, the Discovery Vision concept was revealed alongside SpaceShipTwo, Virgin Galactic's commercial passenger-carrying spacecraft.
The elaborate unveiling intended to emphasise the pioneering work that both companies are doing when it comes to advancements in travel and vehicle engineering.
