Long Serving Bristol Street Motors Colleague Set for Retirement

An Accounts Assistant at a Bristol Street Motors dealership is retiring after 32 years of loyal service.

Linda Brogden will start her retirement this week after working for Bristol Street Motors Peugeot Oxford since May 1983. Linda initially joined as a part-time wages clerk but was later promoted to her current position of Accounts Assistant.

Since joining 32 years ago, Linda has worked in many different departments within the dealership, but she has always remained loyal to Bristol Street Motors Peugeot Oxford.

Outside of her work, Linda is an avid walker and is treasurer of the Kidlington Rambling club, where she has been a member for 29 years. She regularly leads walks with the club and with her husband. Outside of rambling, Linda is a keen gardener and is also a fan of the theatre.

Speaking about her retirement, Linda Brogden said "It's going to be a weird feeling waking up and not going into work and I will miss all of my colleagues at Bristol Street Motors Peugeot Oxford.

"Although I have enjoyed my 32 years with the company, I am looking forward to my retirement and I cannot wait to spend more time with my family, in the garden and of course getting more walks in. And a couple more holidays would be great too!"

Ollie Bell,General Manager of Bristol Street Motors Peugeot Oxford said "Everyone here at the dealership is going to miss Linda; she is a hugely popular member of the team and she will be very hard to replace.

"I would like to thank Linda for all her years of service to Bristol Street Motors. 32 years is a tremendous achievement and we all hope that Linda enjoys every moment of her retirement as she has certainly earned it."
