Mazda Announces Full UK Specifications and Prices for the MX-30

Full UK specifications and prices have been revealed for Mazda’s first all-electric vehicle: the Mazda MX-30.

The new EV crossover will be available in three trim levels - SE-L Lux, Sport Lux and GT Sport Tech - and features an electric motor with a 35kWh lithium-ion battery, which delivers approximately 124 miles of range. Standard across the full range, the MX-30 comes equipped with a type 2 AC charging cable and a socket for rapid charging, and will only take around 36 minutes to reach 80% charge.

Other standard features include, LED headlights, reversing camera, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Intelligent Speed Assist, satellite navigation and head-up display.

Commenting on the Mazda MX-30, Managing Director, Mazda Motors UK, Jeremy Thomson, said: “Our first all-electric Mazda heralds an exciting start to Mazda’s second century in business. With the First Edition MX-30 order book now open, customers in the UK can reserve a car for just £800 for delivery early in 2021.”

Starting from £25,545*, first customer deliveries are expected to commence next year. But while we wait, let’s take a closer look at the additional features for each trim level.

SE-L Lux

The SE-L model has a starting price of £25,545*, after the Plug-in Car Grant, and features 18-inch alloy wheels, black door mirrors and a black grille. Customers will also have a choice of five colour options to choose from including, Arctic White and Jet Black Mica, and will be exclusively offered as a single tone design.

Sport Lux

The MX-30 Sport Lux starts at £27,545* and offers more advanced technology and features, promising to be a popular choice for many UK drivers. Drivers will benefit from the lumber support adjustment and will find the smart keyless entry element useful. Customers will be able to consider the optional three-tone paint design for a luxury finish, with colour choices including Soul Red Crystal and Ceramic Metallic.

GT Sport Tech

Finally, the top-level GT Sport Tech trim boasts even more fantastic features for the ultimate EV experience. Starting from £29,845*, the MX-30 GT Sport Tech includes a front wiper de-icer, a power and tilt sunroof, heated steering wheel and a 12-speaker Bose surround sound system for a real luxury finish.
