Mazdas latest model generation proves huge success
Mazda has already exceeded their expectations for 2014 thanks to their fantastic range of cars featuring the ultra-efficient SKYACTIV Technology.
The Hiroshima-based company has been hugely successful already this year and attributed this above all to its latest range of cars.
Thanks to their uncompromising combination of ultra-efficient SKYACTIV Technology and stunning designs the Mazda3, 6 and CX-5 made up two-thirds of the Japanese car companies new vehicle sales compared to 50 per cent during the same period last year.
The super-efficient engine technology has proved to be a real draw for customers and they intend to extend the range. The current models will be joined by several more innovative vehicles over the next two years.
This starts with the stunning new Mazda2 supermini which went into production last month. The small but mighty city car will go on sale in Japan this autumn and Europe in early 2015 featuring a brand-new SKYACTIV clean diesel engine.
The company has had to expand production this year making it more global than ever. A new plant in Mexico was opened this year and is now running smoothly. Construction is also underway of a transmission line in Thailand which joins expanded capacity in Malaysia and Russia.
Structural reforms have also had a major impact at Mazda, which has managed to sustain success during a turbulent period in the automobile industry while at the same time building a solid business foundation for tomorrow.
