New Ford Focus 'a truly global car'
The new Ford Focus could appeal to both business and private motorists alike.
Offering the same engine powertrains across the world, the model is a global phenomenon and could help drivers save money through improved efficiency and reduced emissions, a reviewer has noted.
According to a road test on the Honest John website, the new Focus emits less than 140g/km of CO2, meaning that it can cost as little as £20 per year to tax, dependant on engine specifications.
While the new version of the bestseller offers reduced boot capacity, it does boast the optional driver assistance pack, which uses a camera mounted behind the rear view mirror to warn motorists of upcoming road signs and hazards.
The car will even stop automatically when travelling towards an obstacle at less than 15mph.
"Anyone who remembers Ford interiors of ten to 15 years ago needs to raise their expectations. The dials, knobs, fit, finish and ambiance of the interior now rivals anything from Volkswagen and even from Audi," the reviewer also noted.
The new Ford Focus will be available in dealerships from March 1st.
