New Renault Twingo unveiled online
The brand-new Renault Twingo was revealed online yesterday (February 13th), with motorists and fans of the model helping to unveil the latest version of the popular model.
The French manufacturer ran a unique slow reveal for the city car via Twitter, but it has now been completely uncovered to reveal a distinct design, complete with a new face, wide rear arches and overhangs that all point towards the Renault 5.
Renault has also moved the engine under the boot, which the car maker says has created extra room for passengers inside the new model.
Despite being a little more compact than its predecessor, the new Twingo will be made available in a five-door model and one with a retractable fabric roof.
More details about the Twingo should emerge during the Geneva Motor Show next month, such as the interior specifications and all of the technology that will be crammed into the new model.
Despite the details being closely guarded, it is thought that motorists will have a pair of three-cylinder petrol engines to choose from for the Twingo, with a significant possibility it could be the 900cc turbocharged TCe unit from the Renault Clio.
