Nissan launches website game to help the young imagine a zero-emission society

Nissan has extended its plans to teach people about environmental awareness by launching a sustainability website game.

The Planet Zero is aimed at high-school and college students to help teach them about the possibilities that a zero-emission society can bring.

Set in the future, people can take control of a character named Plugboy and follow him around the world, while learning about what the world would be like if it had only electric cars.

"The way we deal with cars, the way we think about energy, and the way we all live - many things in our lives as we know them would undergo serious change," Nissan said.

"We created this website because we wanted you to envision this world, this live with EV (electric vehicles), whilst having some fun with Plugboy and his friends."

Nissan presented its electric LEAF car at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre last month and has won European and World Car of the Year 2011.
