Nissan to present vehicle variety in Geneva
Nissan is one of the many manufacturers that will be taking to the Geneva International Motor Show to reveal the very best in its new and future designs.
It will particularly be boasting its refreshed crossover line-up, featuring the X-Trail and the Qashqai, with another model in this category also expected to make its debut at the event.
However, Nissan is also intent on showing its model diversity, which is why the striking new BladeGlider concept, the zero-emissions e-NV200 and the GT-R Nismo will be present.
The Qashqai has already picked up a host of plaudits since its recent release and its appearance in Geneva is sure to further its notoriety.
Nissan's X-Trail is another example of the manufacturer's expertise in the crossover range, combining 4x4 capabilities with design and engineering features that are synonymous with the manufacturer's crossover range.
It also comes with innovative new-to-sector technologies, such as bi-LED headlamps, Nissan Safety Shield and a fully-integrated third-generation NissanConnect navigation and infotainment system.
The final crossover set for display has not been fully disclosed by Nissan just yet, but if it is to continue the trend of quality models the manufacturer already produces, its sure to make a big splash in Geneva.
In its pursuit of delivering clean, environmentally friendly machines, Nissan has created the e-NV200. It has previously made appearances in concept form, but the Geneva Motor Show will mark the debut of the production model.
It will combine the best elements of its award winning LEAF and NV200 models, delivering high performance from a pure electric drivetrain. Nissan says it is a practical and versatile vehicle capable of carrying people or goods while producing no exhaust emissions or noise pollution.
The GT-R Nismo is a slightly different beast. It is the fastest and most advanced performance production car Nissan has ever created and powered by a 600PS, 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine.
Finally, the unique-looking BladeGlider concept will be a big talking point. Making its European debut, the car is inspired by the innovative ZEOD RC Zero Emission race car.
It features a narrow front track design, giving it an arrowhead shape from a bird's-eye view. It includes lithium ion batteries for power twinned with in-board motors between the rear wheels.
This interesting take on performance car design is sure to captivate visitors at the motor show, who may want to return for a second or third glance.
