Peugeot 308 finally hits the market
The much-anticipated release date of the new Peugeot 308 has finally arrived, with cars ready to hit showrooms and forecourts across the UK.
It has already picked up a huge number of plaudits from the media and motoring experts, most notably being shortlisted for the European Car of the Year 2014 award despite not even hitting the continent's roads.
Peugeot says the release marks a new era for the manufacturer, with the compact family hatchback expected to redefine the market.
The new model is extremely desirable, functional and fuel-efficient, delivering CO2 emissions as low as 82g/km. Advanced steering and damping technology has also helped to make the drive that little bit more special.
It also features a range of new technologies as part of its 'i-Cockpit' interior, delivering a highly-advanced touchscreen system to control everything from climate control to radio stations.
Tim Zimmerman, managing director of Peugeot, said: “The new 308 is a significant leap forward for Peugeot. It’s high on style and quality and provides a truly rewarding driving experience, all at a value-for-money price. We’re confident it will be a big hit with UK customers.”
