Peugeot 308 joins 'Car of the Year' shortlist
The new Peugeot 308 has muscled its way into the final seven cars that will be considered for the prestigious and sought-after title of European Car of the Year for 2014.
It battled its way through the original list of 30 candidates to place itself on the shortlist and the Compact Family Hatchback has been praised for its driving dynamics, environmental credentials and all round quality.
A panel of respect journalists from across the country will be allowed to test-drive the vehicle before the awards are announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014.
Peugeot is no stranger to the award, having picked it up in years gone by. The most recent victory came in 2002, where the brand was commended for the 307.
Tim Zimmerman, managing director of Peugeot UK, said: “This is an excellent and thoroughly deserved endorsement of the huge leap forward we have made with the New 308."
The car will officially be on sale for customers from January 2nd.
