Prices and specifications of the 2013 Fiat 500L announced
Full details have been revealed regarding the 2013 Fiat 500L, with the Italian manufacturer onto a winner with its newest family car.
Deemed in a release by Fiat to be a vehicle that is "putting the fun back into functionality", the new 500L is being packed to the brim with excellent features.
For example, the entry-level 1.4-litre 500L Pop Star or Easy both come with a five-inch touchscreen radio system, ESP stability programme, cruise control capability, Bluetooth accessibility and leather gearknob and steering wheel.
There will be a few noticeable differences between the Pop Star and Easy trims though, with the former being styled with a body-coloured dashboard, quirky side door mouldings and alloy wheels. All of these features look set to appeal to the young motoring audience.
Meanwhile, practicality and comfort is key with the Easy model. This is evident by the fact that this version of the Fiat 500L is fitted with rear parking sensors, a soft-touch dashboard and electric rear windows.
No matter which trim is chosen, drivers will be able to opt for four low emissions engines for their investment.
A TwinAir 0.9-litre petrol motor is capable of producing 105hp, while the 1.4-litre 16-valve petrol alternative boasts a respectable 95hp.
Those more attracted to diesel engines may instead want to opt for either the 1.3-litre 16-valve MultiJet diesel – complete with manual or MTA transmission units – or the 1.6-litre 16-valve MultiJet diesel motors.
Colour is the highlight feature of exterior of the Fiat 500L, with heavy metal grey, opera red, vocal green and new age cream just a few of the ten dazzling hues on offer.
Elena Bernardelli, marketing director of Fiat Group Automobiles UK, underlined: "Fiat 500L represents a new chapter in the history of the remarkable Fiat 500 range and we are confident that we are offering a fun yet versatile new family member that oozes style and personality, at competitive prices."
