Renault Kicks Off New Year With Multiple Awards

Renault’s run of award success in 2024 has continued into a new year after the French manufacturer secured a quartet of accolades from AutoEV’s Electric Car of the Year Awards.

The Renault 5 E-Tech, which was recently named as European Car of the Year, picked up a pair of awards having been announced as class winner in the Best Urban EV category, as well as the winner of the Viewer’s Choice award.

The Scenic E-Tech secured another award having been named as the Best Mid-Sized Family EV, whilst Renault was also recognised for its work across the electric vehicle sector with the Innovation Award.

“These latest awards are further proof that our Renaulution strategy is working,” Renault UK managing director Adam Wood said. 

“Our latest electric vehicles are desirable, innovative and accessible, and these awards for Renault 5 E-Tech electric and Scenic E-Tech electric are further proof that Renault delivers class-leading technology for the electric era.”

Order books have now opened for the Renault 5, with prices starting from £22,995 OTR for the Evolution trim.

The relaunch of the iconic car, made famous in the 1980s thanks to Renault’s involvement in the World Rally Championship, comes ahead of the return of another name from years gone by – with Renault having already confirmed that the Renault 4 will also make a comeback as the latest addition to the EV line-up.
