Renault 'ups the ante' with warranty extension
Renault is looking to take on all comers in the quality stakes after unveiling a new strategic plan.
The firm believes that its new three-year/100,000-mile warranty, which will offered on all new models from September 1st this year, will set it apart from the crowd.
September will also see the French manufacturer of the popular Clio and Megane models embark on a new dealer star rating plan.
This, the firm says, will boost the company's sales and after sales services.
"Renault has made no qualms about its relentless pursuit of quality in recent years, for both product and service," the firm commented.
"Indeed, quality is at the very heart of its business, as emphasised by chairman and chief executive officer Carlos Ghosn, speaking at the launch of Renault Commitment 2009, when he stated that the objective for the next-generation Laguna would be top three in its class for quality, including premium brands."
The firm also claimed that its UK dealerships are "consistently improving" and pointed to an impressive rise of 16 places in last two Auto Express Driver Power surveys.
