Named ‘Car of the Year’ after it launched, the Peugeot 308 has been a firm favourite for many UK drivers and the latest version promises some exciting new features.

There have been over one and half million 308 sales, and the updates to the 2020 collection include two new alloy wheels, a 100% digital PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, advanced driving aids and three trim levels.

Let’s take a closer look at what the new Peugeot 308 range will offer.

Performance

Whether you prefer a diesel or petrol engine, you’ll be able to choose the way you want to drive.

Available petrol engines include the 1.2 PureTech 110 6 speed manual and the 1.2 PureTech 130 6 speed manual or 8 speed automatic, whereas the diesel options are the 1.5 BlueHDi 100 6 speed manual and the 1.5 BlueHDi 130 6 speed manual or 8 speed automatic.

Whichever powertrain you choose, you can be assured a powerful and efficient journey... every time!

If you really want to hear your engine revving, the Peugeot 308 GTi sports version offers a 1.6L engine, which produces an impressive 263hp and 340Nm of torque, making it one of the best vehicles in the hot hatch category.

Technology

The Peugeot i-Cockpit is a fundamental element in optimising overall driving experience and the 308 will be fully-equipped with a 10-inch HD digital panel.

tech

User friendly and packed with great features, you’ll be able to connect your phone, plan your journeys with real-time traffic monitoring, and be warned of danger zones to optimise safety.

Some of the driver aids included in the updated 308 are:

- Adaptive cruise control
- 180 degree rear view camera and Park Assist
- Automatic emergency braking and collision risk warning
- Active lane departure warning with lane correction from 40mph (65 km/h) onwards
- Driver Attention Alert
- Automatic Smart Beam Assist
- Speed sign recognition and recommendation
- Active blind spot monitoring system

Each driver aid optimises safety and helps make every day driving easier and hassle-free.

Design

Boasting dynamism and strength, the updated 308 has been tweaked to enhance its sharp and sleek look.

design

It makes for a great city car and can manoeuvre like a pro down narrow streets and squeeze into the tightest of spaces, all thanks to its agile and compact design. A new ‘Vertigo Blue’ colour option has also been added, as well as the additional choice of 16” or 18” diamond cut alloy wheels.
