Thierry Neuville to drive for Citroen in WRC 2012
Belgian racing star Thierry Neuville has been announced as the latest addition to the Citroen WRC team.
The driver has been assured that he will take part in no less than nine events throughout the 2012 season.
Citron Racing team principal Olivier Quesnel said the deal to bring Neuville to the team comes after much observation of his career thus far.
"[We have] been keeping a close eye on Thierry Neuville's career for several years now. We felt that the time had come to give him a chance at the topmost level," he commented.
"Like Sebastien Loeb, and more recently Sebastien Ogier, Thierry will find himself in a team that will help him complete his training and consolidate it with results. It's up to Thierry to seize this opportunity."
The news comes shortly after an announcement confirming that Qatari race ace Nasser Al-Attiyah is set to join the French WRC team.
