Triple Win For Dacia At What Car? 2023 Awards

Dacia, Romanian car manufacturer, have won three titles in the distinguished What Car? 2023 Awards. The three cars nominated were Dacia Sandero, Dacia Duster and Dacia Jogger.

The success was due to the vehicles’ practicality, appropriate pricing and the amount of equipment within all cars. The Sandero model won the ‘Best Small Car For Value’ title, Duster model was awarded the ‘Best Small SUV For Value’ and Jogger model scored the ‘Best Seven-Seater For Value’ award.

The result highlights the effective and attractive pricing of Dacia. The manufacturer’s achievement comes after a successful 2022 for performance, resulting in doubling sales.

Dacia Brand Director for the UK, Luke Broad, commented:

“What better way to start the year than to receive three accolades at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards. I’m proud that Dacia’s unrivalled value has once again been officially recognised.

It’s not only the price of our vehicles that has secured these awards though, as the expert decisions of the What Car? judges reflect the unrivalled combination of quality and value that increasing numbers of car buyers are seeing in our brand today.

With last year’s sales up 55% compared to 2021 in the UK, it’s more apparent than ever that our commitment to innovatively redefining the essentials is really hitting home with drivers.”

Dacia Sandero

The Dacia Sandero model won the ‘Best Small Car For Value’ in the What Car? 2023 Awards. This small car promises modern technologies and uncompromising comfort within the cabin. It offers several safety features from Hill Start Assist to Emergency Brake Assist, ensuring the safety of both driver and passengers.

You can fit all the essentials and more in the surprisingly roomy boot of this small car. The interior also includes several smart storage solutions to keep your essentials organised. The cabin delivers ample legroom for rear passengers and enough space to sit comfortably.

Sandero is available in seven stylish body colours, which are complemented with LED Y-shaped headlights. The exterior will not go unnoticed thanks to its sleek new black grille with white accents and dynamic front end.

Steve Huntingford, Editor of What Car? commented:

"The Sandero may be a regular holder of the ‘cheapest car in the UK’ crown, but there’s a lot more to like about it than just its price.

It's one of the most practical and comfortable cars in the small car class, for starters. Plus, our preferred Expression trim comes with plenty of kit, and the Bi-Fuel engine has the potential to save owners a lot in fuel costs."

Dacia Duster

The iconic Dacia Duster won the coveted ‘Best Small SUV For Value’ title in the What Car? 2023 Awards. The small SUV is available in petrol, diesel and bi-fuel powertrains ensuring high performance. The four-wheel-drive and automatic transmission ensure a smoother ride.

This vehicle also comes with a sufficient driver assistance safety package. The Emergency Brake Assist and Hill Start Assist ensure the safety of everyone onboard.

The muscular design of the Dacia Duster will impress wherever you go. The sharp lines and dynamic lines are complemented with 17-inch diamond-cut wheels and orange accents on the door mirrors.

What Car? Editor, Steve Huntingford, said:

"When shopping at the affordable end of the small SUV market, you might expect to have to make a few compromises, but the Duster proves that you needn’t fear being short changed.

It combines its attractive pricing with plenty of standard kit and good resale values. And it's a very practical choice, with generous head and leg room and a large boot."

Dacia Jogger

Jogger offers comfortable rides for all of the family. This seven-seater estate MPV hybrid offers 2,085 litres boot volume with no compromises to the space inside the cabin.

The raised ground clearance and robust design make the Dacia Jogger a practical and stylish option for family trips. The vertical positioning of the rear lights makes accessing the boot easier with wider tailgate opening.
