Vauxhall to debut ADAM ROCKS concept car at Geneva

The Geneva Motor Show is one of the most anticipated events of the motoring calendar, with Vauxhall the latest to ramp up excitement for the 2013 edition of the exhibition.

This is because the well-known vehicle manufacturer has announced that it will be showing off its ADAM ROCKS concept vehicle at the prestigious event.

A selection of teaser images – styled to look like hand-drawn sketches – have already hinted to motorists what this urban mini-crossover is all about.

Fans of the standard Vauxhall Adam, which has only just launched across the UK, will notice that the ROCKS concept is taller and wider in stature.

What's more, the exterior design of the concept car gives off a more aggressive stance than the original Adam, while the addition of a cabrio roof presents this unique vehicle with even more character.

Adding to the appeal of the outside of the Vauxhall ADAM ROCKS is the fact that the car is fitted with sports-themed wheels in the teaser shots, which catch the eye with a glowing blue stripe on its tread.

The headlight arrangements of the concept vehicle are also distinctively designed with a c-like shape, while the bodywork's smooth finish is sure to leave motorists in awe.

Malcolm Ward, the lead design director of Vauxhall/Opel, commented: "With an even bolder design than any other Adam, the ROCKS shows the vast potential for personalisation our stylish urban-chic newcomer offers. It combines the toughness of a crossover with the coolness of open air driving.

"As a symbol for fashion-led, active drivers wanting to stand out from the crowd, ADAM ROCKS is just one possible answer to the question of how new development paths for this unique car could be forged."

More will be seen of the Vauxhall ADAM ROCKS when the concept car receives its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which takes place between March 7th and 17th.
