Vauxhall tops February sales charts
Last month saw Vauxhall beat off stiff competition to achieve the number one spot in UK car sales.
According to the firm, 9,812 of its new models were registered in the UK in February, almost 2,300 more than the manufacturer's closest rival.
The all-new Vauxhall Corsa led the pack, recording 2,617 sales, while five of the company's models were in the top ten most popular vehicles.
Its Insignia range dominated the mid-size sector, it notes, while the Zafira and the Meriva proved popular choices for those looking for compact MPVs.
Almost all of these successful models have been brought to the market in the last two years, Vauxhall managing director Duncan Aldred highlighted.
"Last month proved that we are now capable of attracting more customers than any other manufacturer, and this is down to the strength of our products, their competitive pricing and a warranty on every new car which has the potential to last a lifetime," Mr Aldred added.
Vauxhall is offering one year's free insurance to motorists who buy a pre-facelift Corsa this month.
