The Clarets

Founded in 1882, Burnley was one of the twelve founding members of the English Football League in 1888. Twice champions of England and winners of the FA Cup, the team held the record for the longest unbeaten record in the league for more than 80 years and is one of a handful of teams to have won all four professional divisions.

Burnley's Turf Moor stadium is one the oldest in the professional game having been the team's home since 1883, with the modern day ground having a capacity of almost 22,000 and featuring a raft of impressive facilities.

Known as the Clarets in deference to its iconic shirt, Burnley can count on the support of a loyal army of fans who have supported the club through the various highs and lows since the first ball was kicked.

Supporting Clarets in the community

With dealerships across the North West, the partnership between Bristol Street Motors and Burnley FC is an excellent opportunity to utilise the power of football to connect with local communities.

We understand how much the football club means to the people of Burnley, so we are excited to work together to help inspire change in communities that need support.

Presence with purpose

The partnership allows us to connect with Burnley fans - and help them with their motoring needs too!

As well as being the club's Official Car Retailer, we are also involved in various initiatives throughout the season to that includes activities in the Papa John's FanZone, player appearances, and various hospitality opportunities.

A winning partnership

"We are delighted to continue our relationship with Burnley Football Club into a third season, and to now align the Club with the Bristol Street Motors brand. Given that this season marks 100 years of Bristol Street Motors, it is the perfect time for the brand to sit alongside one of the oldest clubs in the professional game, and one that holds special significance on a personal level having been a Burnley FC fan for so many years."

Robert Forrester
Chief Executive, Bristol Street Motors

"We're pleased to have the continued support of Vertu Motors and in an exciting development for the 2024/25 campaign, the Group's nationally recognised brand Bristol Street Motors.

"Since we first joined forces, we've been impressed by Vertu's commitment to supporting the local community, particularly the foodbank and Whitehough Outdoor Centre initiatives - which made a real tangible difference to our charity Burnley FC in the Community. This is an important element of the partnership and I'm looking forward to enjoying further success together over the course of the season."
