Vauxhall is to showcase its Luton-built Vauxhall Vivaro Surf concept at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
The roomy and spacious double cab van is powered by a 1.6-litre CDTi BiTurbo engine, which produces 340Nm of torque and allows the Vivaro to reach speeds of up to 112mph.
Aimed at people who enjoy a sociable and active lifestyle, the Vivaro Surf Concept can transport up to six people alongside their dirty or wet sporting and fitness equipment.
Longer surfboards are accommodated for on the roof of the striking copper van, with a special surfboard bracket fitted as standard.
Steffen Raschig, Director at Vauxhall/Opel Commercial Vehicles commented: "The Vivaro Surf Concept is the ideal vehicle for large families or groups of friends. The close-to-production concept offers space for up to six passengers with its crew cab. There is a large cargo area with numerous practical details behind the second row of seats. The sporty styling on the outside and numerous comfort features along with the ultra-modern IntelliLink system on the inside make it an elegant roomy van. The Vivaro Surf Concept is the perfect alternative for people who need more than a passenger car but do not want to miss out on the usual comfort."
