100th Clio delivered to RED driving instructors as part of deal with Renault
Eight months after signing a three-year deal to supply RED Driving School instructors with its popular hatchback, Renault has delivered the 100th Clio to an Edinburgh-based instructor.
Ross Cameron was the latest instructor to take advantage of the manufacturer-driven deal, opting for the Flame Red turbodiesel Clio dCi 90.
The father of one estimates that he travels around 500 miles per week in his Clio, teaching pupils from all across Edinburgh. He is now also enjoying significant fuel cost savings due to the Renault's impressive economy.
Mr Cameron has been a RED driving instructor for almost two years. He commented: "The opportunity to make a sizeable saving each month was a major factor in my decision to choose the Clio, but it's also an excellent car in which to teach people to drive. It's very comfortable, straightforward to drive and my pupils love it. My younger students especially like the Clio's looks and the level of standard equipment is good too, the Hill Start Assist feature being very welcome and really helping on lessons.
"I was quite surprised to hear I was the 100th RED driving instructor to take delivery of a new Clio and even though I've only had the car for a short time, I'll definitely be staying with the Renault brand in future."
